Videos About Tybee Island Main Street

Tybee Island is a community of collaboration. Volunteers are tremendous partners that have a positive impact in our small town. Check out the Community Partners page to learn more about partners working to preserve Tybee’s community, commerce and culture throughout the year.

Each year, the Board of Directors host a retreat to review the previous year’s works completed and plan for the next year based on public feedback.

The city is proud to be a Georgia Exceptional Main Street Community!  A variety of accomplishments have been made since the city became accredited as a National Main Street Community in 2010.  Following are a few videos that have been done since becoming known as a “Better Hometown” community, then a Main Street community…

Community Videos

 Videos about the Development Authority/Main Street Program can be viewed here.  Two videos, Local Lives, were produced in 2016.  Each video highlights the authenticity of living on Tybee Island as numerous residents share why Tybee Island is home for them. 

Main Street Overview (2013)

An overview video about Main Street was produced prior to the name change, but the information provided remains relevant. Committees work with the MS Board of Directors to make necessary improvements a reality. This structure minimizes confusion, avoids duplication and maintains good communication. Work plans set direction for committees and Board liaisons provide updates at the Board of Directors monthly meetings for review and approval as necessary. Committees typically meet once a month.

Design of Main Street
